As cases of Covid-19 increase once again, our city’s elderly continue to be particularly vulnerable and isolated.
ElderLink Manager, Rachel Khan, reports:
‘Our visitng volunteers and I keep in touch with all our clients by phone, as does Sue Arblaster, who officially retired last year! Out of the blue recently I had a request to ring a 93-year-old gentleman in Castle Vale who is lonely – he was pleased to have a chat. I meet my staff team, still on furlough, once every 3 weeks to catch up. We face much uncertainty as to when and how we will be able to re-start lunch clubs and home visiting. Please pray for our future plans, which are known to the Lord.’
