BCM supports two RE exhibitions to schools: The Man Who Changed The World for school years 3 to 6 and The Science & Faith Investigation for school years 6 and 7. The exhibition team, over the last 12 years, has been invited to more than 105 schools in the Birmingham area, and many schools host the exhibitions on a recurring basis. The exhibitions are interactive and rich in material designed with the National Curriculum in mind.
The Man Who Changed The World
In this exhibition the Bible story is explained with bright displays, props and models by presenters in period costume. The story is taught in five 10 minute sections looking at the history and culture of Judaism and the Bible narrative of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection, ending with a quiz. The exhibition takes 75 minutes, and a shorter 30 minute exhibition is offered to Key Stage 1 classes.
The Science & Faith Investigation
This exhibition explores the amazing things science can do and considers its limitations. With the use of exciting interactive equipment, children are challenged to consider objectively issues such as faith and the historical accounts of Jesus’ resurrection. This classroom based exhibition also lasts 75 minutes.
