On Friday 26th February 2021, spend a night out in a cardboard box to raise money for BCM’s work with the homeless in our city – this time in your own garden! And if another chilly night fits into your diary better, feel free to choose a different date.
We’re really disappointed that, because of the pandemic, we can’t hold our annual Sponsored Sleepout in the Clock Tower car park, but we know many people will still want to support the event and raise funds for Birmingham’s homeless. So we’re going mobile and recruiting participants to sleep out under the stars at home. You could do it on your own, as a family challenge or, if Covid-19 restrictions allow by the end of February, with friends or your youth group.
If you’d like to be a part of it, register and receive your free Sleepout 2021 Participant’s Pack, full of goodies, tips and information – just call 0121 766 6603 (ext 2) or email office@birminghamcitymission.co.uk giving your name and address.
To raise sponsorship online, you can set up your own free fundraising page on the give.net website. BCM’s Sleepout 2021 is set up as an organised project, so once you’ve created an account and signed in on that website, create a page, support Birmingham City Mission and choose ‘BCM’s Sleepout In Your Garden’ in the ‘Which project?’ section.
There will be paper Sleepout sponsor forms included in the Participant’s Pack.
Funds raised through the Sleepout go to BCM’s Care and Resource Centres supporting the homeless and marginalised. Find out more:
