BCM’s Care Centre remains open for around 40 to 50 clients each day, from Monday to Thursday each week. Since our Manager Steve Bagnall left in December, our current team of staff and volunteers has taken the helm and continues to be encouraged by seeing God’s hand at work at the Care Centre.
A regular day starts with food preparation. Once the guests arrive we are busy serving meals and drinks, giving out clothing and toiletries, finding accommodation through housing providers, chatting and sharing Jesus.
We recently supported one young guest into accommodation. He was struggling with his physical health and seemed in a desperate situation. Over the course of several days we were able to work alongside him to help him meet with a housing provider and now he is in his new accommodation. He is still in touch with us.
The team at the Care Centre continue to rely upon the Lord into the year ahead and look forward to the new Manager, Phil Ansell joining us in June. Please do pray with us for those who we encounter each day. We are thankful for your prayers and also all the donations of food, clothing and many other useful items that people so kindly give. This year we have new volunteers who faithfully give up their time and make use of their skills and gifts in order to help provide for those who come.

Jeannette Happ is a Care Centre volunteer. She started work there during lockdown in 2021. She said:
‘By volunteering at the Care Centre I’m able to help others who are in need. The most challenging thing is seeing so many people with addictions, but the most encouraging is seeing the love of Jesus being shared with everyone who comes.’
