Volunteer and fundraise
Wherever you look at BCM, its projects would not be viable without its volunteers. The time and skills they give are at the heart of our work to help the poor and marginalised and share the Christian message of hope.
If you have a few days, or even just a few hours, to spare each month, why not think about giving them to the Mission?  It’s a chance to make friends and learn new skills as well as do something really worthwhile.
There is a whole range of opportunities and roles across our projects:
WITH OLDER PEOPLE  visiting and praying together; leading services and activities in care homes
WITH THE HOMELESS  visiting, befriending and supporting; holding services and activities in care homes
AT THE RESOURCE CENTRE  sorting food & clothing; collecting and delivering furniture; driving a van
WITH CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE  teaching Bible stories in schools; working at holiday clubs
AT THE CHARITY SHOP & BOOKSHOP  sorting donations; ironing and pricing items; serving customers
WITH THE EVANGELISM TEAM  working in the city centre and door-to-door
AT CHRISTMAS  sorting, wrapping and delivering presents for the ToyLink project
IN FUNDRAISING  helping at a BCM event or organising your own; joining the eBay selling team
IN DONATING  organising a group collection of food, clothing or toys
