Cleaner and fresher
There is a lot to thank God for happening at the Care Centre - from donated food and creative recipes to a new floor and paint job completed!

At the Care Centre its brilliant catering team - Jane, Alan and Alec along with volunteers - try their hardest not to waste any food. This load of lovely vegetables was donated by Gas Street Church and roasted with herbs and garlic, then blitzed up for a delicious pasta sauce.
Gary of ‘I’m homeless, get me out of here’ is another great and faithful Care Centre supporter, regularly providing food and sleeping bags, and pictured here delivering biscuits one day in July.

The last few months have seen a Care Centre refurbishment. The main room and toilets have been decorated, and the stair floors and offices have been laminated. Our Support Worker, Matt Buttery has been co-ordinating operations, and four corporate workdays with volunteer groups from Wesleyan Group, Allianz and Jaguar LandRover, have got the job done. The Screwfix Foundation met the full cost of the refurbishment. Huge thanks to them all. Those using the Care Centre have commented, ‘The main room feels very welcoming now, much cleaner and fresher.’
We are now in the process of establishing a second carpentry workshop as well as, alongside our existing jigsaw wall, an art board to display all the artwork created at the Care Centre. Why not come along and have a see?
Good contacts are being made with housing providers and mental health teams so clients are able to access these services. Two clients referred to Betel UK rehab have come to faith in the Lord and one is now on Betel’s house leadership team, the other working in its restaurant.
