Demand rises by 50%
As prices continue to rise in the UK more and more people are unable to afford the essentials we all need to live. Please help by giving this harvest.

At BCM's Resource Centre demand for food has grown by 50% over the last three months, from 159 parcels in July and 189 in August to 239 in September. The number of people requesting furniture packs has also increased to around 3 or 4 each day. Most commonly people say they need help because of the cost of living and fuel bills. Another reason is that they are being sanctioned for missing appointments.
Thank you to everyone who gives food, furniture and clothing to the Resource Centre - especially at a time when we are all feeling the pressure of bigger bills. Without your support we would not be able to help those in need who come.
We are grateful for everything that comes in to keep shelves stocked, meals served and food parcels packed. This year we have enough pasta, but are particularly low on tinned fruit, tinned veg, rice puddings, coffee, tinned spaghetti, tinned hot meat, pasta sauces, and men’s toiletries.
Please deliver food to BCM's Resource Centre, The Clock Tower, 2 Langdon Street, Birmingham B9 4BP on Mondays to Thursdays from 10am to 4pm.
Or contact us if you need us to pick up large collections: 0121 766 6603 or office@birminghamcitymission.co.uk

We also need volunteer help with sorting and dating incoming items.
Thank you.
