I would miss it if you didn't come
At ElderLink after a new member has been part of the Visiting Scheme for 6 months we do a review phone call with a staff worker.

The staff worker making the call will not have had involvement with the member up to then. During one such call a scheme member (different from the one pictured above) reported, 'It’s all very good. I'm very pleased with the scheme.' She continued, 'I was very resistant at the beginning as I am stubborn and haven’t done anything like it before. But now... I would miss it if you didn’t come. I am surprised at how good I feel from the visits.'
If you would like to volunteer as a visitor with us, or if you know of anyone aged 66+ and living in postcode areas B25, B26, B27 or B28 who would appreciate a visit, please get in touch at elderlink@birminghamcitymission.co.uk or give us a call on 0121 707 9422. Please bear in mind that we prioritise those who are housebound and socially isolated.
