Light of the World
Life Lunches are a new initiative at ElderLink as the team seek to nourish their older friends both physically and spiritually, with soup and Jesus who said, 'I am the Light of the World'.

Jesus said, ‘I am the Light of the World’ was the theme for our December Life Lunch. Stu Ward came and spoke about how Jesus is the light at the end of the tunnel when we are in a dark place, and how he beats any earthly hope we can have.
Lunch was prepared by staff in our kitchen. This time on the menu was a yummy sweet potato, carrot, apple and red lentil soup followed by chocolate roulade. We are still small in number but those who hear about the lunches though our weekly Coffee Club know that they will hear a talk from the Bible as well as receiving a hot meal. Please pray that our older friends’ hunger for God’s Word will grow and that we will be able to have good conversations in the weeks to come.

Our next Life Lunch is on Thursday 26th January at our centre in Acocks Green. If you or someone you know is aged 65+ and would like to come along, please find all the details in this invitation.
