Week of witness

BCM's troop of City Missionaries spent Holy Week scattered around Birmingham reaching as many as possible with the good news that Jesus died and rose again for everyone.

There was book table outreach in Bearwood, evangelism in Oldbury, and a well attended 'Adventure Day’ and March of Witness on the Castle Vale estate.

In Kings Norton 6 young people from ECG Berstig, a large church in Cologne, Germany, added to the Mission's ranks, as well as a group of Hong Kongers from Birmingham Chinese Evangelical Church and the Global Mission Church.

The recruits from the German youth group happily got stuck into the varied plan of literature distribution, street work, door to door work, old people’s homes visits, Care Centre work and, a highlight for them, daily teaching. Another memorable moment was a time together with patients at the psychiatric hospital who raised many questions about the events of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Even though much of this was a new experience for the young people, they were able to have meaningful conversations with those they met and share with them God's remarkable gift of forgiveness and salvation made possible through Jesus dying and rising again that first Easter.
